Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 162. Page 843 of 1004. Private Carvery was shot and killed by Private Arthur Johnson (#931052). Private Johnson was found guilty of murder and was sentenced to death. The sentence was commuted to 15 years Penal Servitude by Field Marshall Sir Douglas Haig. The sentence was promulgated on December 23, 1918 and was to expire on December 14, 1933. -
