Son of Hyacinthe Larocque and Arthémise Lafontaine, of Rochon, Outaouais, Québec.
He married to Florence Dicker in England in May 1918 and was killed in action three months later; a son was born of that union.
His attestation paper does not specify his place of birth in the State of Michigan, but one of his sister was born and died in 1891 in a place called Cheboygan.
