Son of Stanislas Drouin and Eunice Lévesque, of Lac-Drolet, Québec.
On January 22, 1942, the Inneroy was on route alone from Halifax, Nova Scotia, to England when, at 10:43 p.m., she was hit by a torpedo launched from U-553. She caught fire and sank in position 41°16'N/60°32'W. The captain, 32 crew members and three gunners lost their lives. The five survivors were rescued 15 hours later in a dinghy by the SS Empire Amethyst, which landed them in Halifax.
