Posthumously awarded RCAF Operational Wings in recognition of gallant service in action against the enemy, the 9 December 1946.

Amersfoort is a town lying 50 kilometres south-east of Amsterdam, and 22 kilometres north-east of Utrecht. The Amersfoort (Oud Leusden) General Cemetery is about 2.5 kilometres from the railway station, in an area known as Oud Leusden. The graves are in a special plot, well sited among trees.
