Distinguished Flying Cross, London Gazette 2 November 1942, " This officer has always displayed outstanding coolness and courage often under very difficult conditions. One night in August, when his aircraft was so severely damaged by night fighters that he had to descend on the sea, it was largely due to his leadership and presence of mind that four members of the crew were rescued. On two other occasions, by his ability and skill, he has brought his damaged aircraft safely to base. Pilot Officer Foderingham has at all times shown great devotion to duty, setting a splendid example to all." 1939-45 Star, Air Crew Europe Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, War Medal 1939-45.
