Son of Jules W. and Margaret Behm, of Quebec City, Quebec; husband of Clara Lucy (née vanKoughnett) Behm, father of Martin Harold, James Alfred and Margurite Ellen of Napanee, Ontario. Brother of Harold Behm of Prince Edward Island and sister Margaret of Ottawa, Ontario. Enlisted stating he was a farmer. He served from 10 September 1939 to 28 September 1943 in Canada, United Kingdom and France until he was medically discharged back to Canada.
