  • Newspaper Clipping– According to this excerpt from Royal Canadian Air Force 370th Casualty List of the war, published in the Hamilton Spectator on September 16, 1942, Pilot Officer WILLIAM FRANCIS ROY was killed in a mid-air crash between his plane and another machine near Hamilton, September 10. The occupants of the other plane are not identified in this clipping, but Pilot Officer SANFORD SOOMSKY and Leading Aircraftman JAMES ARTHUR MCKAY, whose names appear on this list, died the same day.
