Son of Michael Hannan and Marie Ida Morin, of Richmond, Québec.
Enrolled on June 30th, 1938 in B Squadron of the 7/11 Hussars - NPAM - in Sherbrooke, Québec, service number 4014 replaced by H-401574. He was a Lance Corporal. He transferred to the 1st Battalion Royal Rifles of Canada as a rifleman, served in Québec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland with W Force, Hong Kong with C Force, Japan as a prisoner of war. He had 3,169 days of service at his death, including 1,444 overseas.
