Noirmoutier-en-Lille is a small town on the island or Noirmoutier which is situated off the west coast of France some 32 kilometres south of the mouth of the River Loire and 47 kilometres north-west of La Roche-sur-Yon the chief town of the Department of the Vendee. The NOIRMOUNTIER-EN-L'ILE COMMUNAL CEMETERY is on the northern side of the town on the road leading to the neighbouring hamlet of L'Herbaudiere.
