He was a soldier for the Oxford Rifles Regiment - NPAM - in Ingersoll, Ontario, from 1940 to June 1941 and then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force.
He served in Canada and Great Britain.
1939-1945 Star, Europe Star, Defence Medal, War Medal 1939-1945 and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal.
