John Archibald "Jack" MacLeod photographed while recovering from wounds received at Ypres in 1915 with PPCLI. Enlisted during first week of war (note extremely low service #). Youngest man in the PPCLI. Invalided out because of wounds received at Ypres. Later reenlisted with 211th Alberta Americans, a regiment he helped recruit. Killed August, 1918, Battle of Amiens. Buried St. Sever Cemetary, Rouen.
