This photograph was sent from Oscar Lund to his girlfriend Emilie Larsen in 1914. He is seen in a boxing match on board the ship Andania in the period of 3-15 October 1914. On the back side of the photograph was written in Norwegian "the cross is me". Emilie's granddaughter Elin Larsen made a scan and reached out to me after the regional newspaper in Trondheim, "Adresseavisen", ran Oscar's story on November 10th 2018.

VIEILLE-CHAPELLE NEW MILITARY CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Vieille-Chapelle is a village north east of Bethune. From Bethune follow the D945 to Estaires for approximately 10 kilometres. Take the right turn onto the small road signposted to Vieille-Chapelle opposite Zelobes Indian Cemetery. Follow this small road and on entering Vieille-Chapelle village, the VIEILLE-CHAPELLE NEW MILITARY CEMETERY lies on the right hand side of the road.
