This obituary was written by Jon's sisters Phillis, Eileen and Joan in 2002. Sadly, by then, three of Jon's brothers, Jack, Bob and Harry, had passed away, leaving Gordon as Jon's only surviving brother.

SCHOONEBEEK (OUD SCHOONEBEEK) GENERAL CEMETERY Netherlands
Oud Schoonebeek is in the commune of Schoonebeek, about 17 kilometres due east of Coevorden, near the German border. The cemetery is 90 metres south of the church in Oud Schoonebeek, on the southern side of the road to the village of Nieuw-Schoonebeek. The graves are immediately south of the entrance.
