Photo of Stephen David McPhee – From the Sydney Academy Memorial booklet, published by the Student's Assembly in memory of former students who served during the Second World War. The original pictures were supplied by the Sydney Post-Record and the booklet was compiled by Jack Wilcox, class of 1946 and Donald Trivett, class of 1947. Additional Information courtesy of Floyd Williston: Sgt. Stephen McPhee, age 33, one of the older former Sydney Academy students to make the supreme sacrifice in the Second World War, was killed at 1654 Operational Training Unit, when he was in collision with a motor van, two miles south of Stamford, Lincolnshire. Sgt. MacPhee is buried in the All-Saints Churchyard, Wittering, Northamptonshire, England.
