Son of Acton O'Neill Daunt and Elizabeth Daunt, of New Westminster, British Columbia; husband of Marjorie Daunt, of Sydenham, Ontario. Brother of Henry Thomas, Mary Dorthea, Florence Elizabeth and Margaret Alice. Flying Officer Daunt attended New West Central Public School from 1924 to 1931, Duke of Connaught High School from 1931 to 1935 and the University of British Columbia in 1941. He enjoyed swimming, skating, rugby, boxing and skiing. His favorite hobby was auto mechanics.
