St. James Catherdral War Memorial
This War Memorial stands on the grounds of St. James Cathedral in Toronto. The Cathedral is located on the corner of King & Church Streets, west of Yonge Street. This view shows Church Street just behind the Gothic Revival style Memorial. The base is inscribed with the names of the men from the Cathedral's Roll of Honour on 3 panels, and the 4th panel is a tribute to the men. -

Soldiers Tower
The Soldiers' Tower was built at University of Toronto between 1919-1924 in memory of those lost to the University in the Great War. Funds were raised by the Alumni Federation (now called the University of Toronto Alumni Association). The name of "Spr N. LAWLESS 2nd Fld Coy C.E." is among the 628 names carved on the Memorial Screen, seen at photo left. Photo: K. Parks, Alumni Relations. -
Memorial
Inscription in the Memorial Room, Soldiers’ Tower. The carillon was installed and dedicated in 1927. Originally there were 23 bells. Alumni and friends donated funds in memory of those who fell in the Great War. Dedications for specific bells are carved high on the walls of the Memorial Room. Bell XXI is dedicated: " 'Extol, ye bell, the virtue of our valorous men.' Alumni Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering". Photo courtesy of Alumni Relations. -
