       I thank God on every remembrance
               of Thee
  • Grave Marker– Memorial grave marker for 628631 Pvt. Rodger Wyatt Trendell who served with the 47th Battn. C.E.F.
Born in Guelph Ontario on Aug. 8th 1896 he enlisted int the C.E.F. at Camp Vernon BC on June 29th 1915 at the age of 18, he listed prior military service of one year with the 11th Irish Fusiliers (Canadian Milita) he listed his occupation as "Drug Store Clerk"  He died of wounds receved in action in France on Dec. 29th 1918 at age 21.  He was laid to rest in the Manchester Southern Cemetery in Lancashire England.  His family had this memorial marker placed in the Mountain View Cemetery of Vancouver in his honour.  
His parents are now buried there.
