The first on March 29, 1915 at Fort William Ontario, and the second on July 23, 1915 at Shorncliffe, which was a Canadian military base in Kent, England. In the first his date of birth is given as August 28, 1879, in the second it is August 28, 1880. In the second, in Question 1. What is your name? The surname has been corrected to MAUS. The name MAUS appears on the grave marker and in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission records, while MANS appears in the Canadian First World War Book of Remembrance, and at the Canadian Virtual War Memorial. -
