Son of William Goodall and Fanny Penny of Stockwell Heath, Colton, Staffordshire, England. Adoptive father of John E., James and Alice Smith.
This steam and sail cargo ship was torpedoed by UC-77 on 15 April 1918 in the English Channel 9 miles (14.5 km) northwest of Portland Bill, England. A total of 55 people lost their lives.
