  • Grave Marker– Grave of 442556 Pvt. Walter Forbes Sharpe who served with the 54th Battn. C.E.F. Son of British General Charles F. Sharpe and Alice Sharpe he was born in Gondah India on Oct. 26th 1877. Husband of Flora F Sharpe of Mission BC. Walter enlisted into the C.E.F. at Camp Vernon BC on Aug. 28th 1915 listing his occupation as "Farmer" Walter was wounded in action in France on Aug. 1st 1917 and was later invalided back to Canada in 1918. He died of his wounds on Nov. 19th 1919 at the age of 43. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC
