He was born in Truro Nova Scotia on May 19th 1896.  He enlisted into the C.E.F. at Vancouver BC on Sept. 28th 1918 listing his occupation as a "Farmer" in Santa Maria CA. U.S.A.
Edward died during the Spanish flu panademic of 1918-19 on Oct. 23rd 1918 at the age of 24.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
