Step-son of Martha Campbell. Husband of Irene G. Campbell, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Lieutenant Colonel Campbell, OBE served with the Sault Ste. Marie Regiment (Militia) from 3 June 1892 to 10 December 1899. He served with the Thessalon Rifle Company (Militia) from 16 December 1899 to 16 April 1901 and with the 97th Algonquin Rifles from 16 April 1901 to 15 November 1913. He was also a member of the 51st Regiment “Soo Rifles” from 15 November 1913 to 15 March 1916.
