Son of Edward and Lucy Laborde of St. Vincent's, British West Indies. Husband of Mary North Laborde and father of Lucy Edith, Margaret Faith and Consuelo Mary of Brantford, Ontario. Private Laborde was discharged on 25 March 1920 as medically unfit. He had 2 years previous service with the West India Constabulary.
