Born 22 January 1895 in Collingwood, Ontario. Son of David and Hattie Elizabeth Thomson of Toronto, Ontario. Sergeant Thomson enlisted on 27 September 1917 in Toronto, Ontario. He stated he was single and employed as a munitions worker. He has previous service with the York and Simcoe Foresters. He was medically discharged to the Hamilton Military Hospital were he later died.
