Ex-cadets are named on the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario and in memorial stained glass windows to fallen comrades. 569 Major George Edward Vansittart (RMC 1904) was the only son of John Pennefather Vansittart, P.W.D India, and of M. I. Vansittart. He was the great grandson of Admiral Henry Vansittart, of Bisham Abbey, Berkshire, England. He served with the Canadian Field Artillery, 4th Bde. He was Mentioned in Despatches. He died 14 May 1916. He was buried in the Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery in Belgium. -
