Grave of TC Wood - 50th Canadians. Died 10th Nov 1917 at Camieres Military Hospital near Etaples c.10 days after having been mortally wounded in the head at Passendaele serving with 50th Canadians whilst on stretcher bearing duty. Tom (British) had by sheer chance accidentally bumped into his brother, Lt Norman Leslie Wood (Northumberland Hussars), just before this tragedy occurred. Never Forgotten - He gave his 'today' for our 'tomorrow'. Family Wood. -

ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Etaples is a town about 27 kilometres south of Boulogne. The Etaples Military Cemetery is to the north of the town, on the west side of the road to Boulogne.
