Location:

Aubigny Communal Cemetery is south of the village of Aubigny-en-Artois and the Cemetery Extension is behind it. The village of Aubigny-en-Artois is approximately 15 kilometres north-west of Arras on the road to St. Pol. After turning into the village from the N.39 on the D.75, the Cemetery lies south on a road leading from the centre of the village.

  • Photo of Herbert Howell Evans– Herbert came to Canada around 1911. Joined up at Medicine Hat in 1915, married a year later in 1916, before embarking for France the same year, with the 2nd CMR. He was seconded to the R.F.C late 1916 and based at Etrun with 13 Squadron. Herb was on artillery observation when his plane was brought down by 'one of our own shells'( ref. his casualty report).
