Burial/memorial information
Conscripted on 15 November 1917, number 835 86 DC in Montreal, Quebec, he was enrolled on 12 February 1918 in the 2nd Quebec Regiment. Arriving in England on 28 April 1918, he was posted to the 10th Reserve Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. On 8 September, he arrived in France with the 5th Canadian Mounted Rifles and on the 11th was transferred to the 22nd Battalion, which he joined in the front line on the 12th. He was killed in action on 2 October 1918 during the Battle of Cambrai, France, during a German counter-attack on Cagnicourt.
