Photo of Francis Howard Bell – Cpl Bell left England to take up farming in Canada. At the outbreak of war he went to Vancouver and joined the Duke of Connaughts Own rgmt later transferring twice in order to get to the front more quickly. He fought at Flanders, Ypres, on the Somme and at Vimy. His two brothers survived the war.
