Location:

Fouquescourt is a village in the Department of the Somme, 35.5 kilometres east of Amiens and 8 kilometres due north of Roye. The Fouquescourt British Cemetery is a little north of the village on the east side of the road to Maucourt.

  • Photo of Robert Clarke Moyes– Private Robert Clarke Moyes (2336315) was born on March 13,1898 in Glascow, Scotland. In 1910, his mother Mrs. Elizabeth Moyes and his two brothers immigrated to Canada and settled in Calgary. All three brothers joined the CEF 50th Infantry Battalion and saw action overseas. The two older brothers, Jim Moyes (435111) and John Moyes (434066), survived the 
war. Unfortunately, young Robert was killed in action on August 18, 1918 
near Maucourt, France at the end of the Battle of Amiens.
