  • Photo of William Wylie Templeton– William Wylie Templeton, known as Wylie to his family, was born at Black Park, Holywood, Dumfries, Scotland on July 22, 1890. He worked for the Dumfriesshire Constabulary from Aug 1910 until May 1913. He immigrated to Canada and began working for the Winnipeg Police Force May 1913. In July 1915 he joined the C.E.F. and served with the 43rd Battalion, Cameron Highlanders. He was wounded in action and died June 3rd 1916. He is buried at the family plot at Lockerbie Cemetery, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.
