Plaque – Pro Deo Et Patria Erected by the Royal Military College Club of Canada Anno Domini 1923. Ex-cadets are named on the Memorial Arch at the Royal Military College of Canada. 969 Lieut Reginald Waring Lindsay Crawford (RMC 1914) was the only son of Frederick Lindsay Crawford and Harriet Clarke Penfold Crawford, of Montreal, Quebec. He served with the Royal Field Artillery Division: C Battery 63rd Brigade. He died on July 13, 1916. He was buried in the Abbreville Cemetery, Somme, France.

University School Yearbook Photo – Photograph taken around 1910. He attended University School, located in Saanich, on Vancouver Island, B.C. during 1909-1912. In memory of Second Lieutenant Reginald Waring Lindsay Crawford who died on July 13, 1916. "2nd Lieutenant R. W. L. Crawford, R.F.A. We deeply regret to chronicle the death of Lieut. Crawford. He was wounded during an attack on some German trenches and village beyond. His Colonel and he lay without aid being able to reach them. A Doctor at last crawled out to them and rendered 'first aid'. Later gangrene set in, and poor Crawford had to have his leg amputated. He died on a hospital barge on July 13th, and was buried at Abbeville Cemetery. His Colonel, Lieut. Col. W. A. Short, writes of him : 'I should be glad if you would say from me how much the Brigade feels the loss of so gallant a young man. His devotion to duty, which caused his wound, in front of a German village (till then believed impregnable), was no surprise to his brother Officers.'"
