Korean War Monument – Close-up of the Korean War Monument in Ottawa, Ontario. This features a Canadian soldier, facing toward Busan, Korea, where an identical monument watches over the graves of 378 Canadians in the United Nations Memorial Cemetery. Accompanying the volunteer are two Korean children, both holding symbols: the girl, a bouquet of maple leaves symbolizing Canada; and the boy, a bouquet of maple leaves and roses of Sharon, the national flower of Korea.

Korean War Monument – Private MARC ANDRE BOLDUC is one of 23 soldiers commemorated on this panel, and is one of the 516 soldiers whose names appear on the Korean War Monument in Ottawa. It was erected IN LOVING MEMORY OF THE CANADIAN WHO DIED IN SERVICE DURING THE KOREAN WAR 1950-1953 AND ON KOREAN PEACE KEEPING DUTIES, 1953-1957. Private BOLDUC died on November 24, 1951. Eleven other Canadian soldiers were killed that day, including Acting Corporal CONSTANT BOSSÉ and Private JOSEPH VICTORIN BOUDREAU, whose names also appear on this panel. The burial place of Private Bolduc is unknown, hence he is commemorated on the COMMONWEALTH MEMORIAL (BUSAN), South Korea.

Essay – Private MARC ANDRE BOLDUC, Corporal MARC CHARPENTIER, Acting Corporal CONSTANT BOSSÉ, and Privates ANTOINE RENÉ ROCHON, JOSEPH ALBERT JEAN PAQUETTE, HENRI JEAN GUY LEBEAU, JOSEPH LÉO LÉONARD LAFLAMME, JACQUES GIRARD, MAURICE EMARD, PAUL- ÉMILE DIONNE and JOSEPH VICTORIN BOUDREAU, all of the Royal 22nd Regiment and Private JAMES ARTHUR JORDAN of the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry were killed on November 24, 1951. Privates ROLAND DALLAIRE and JOSEPH LOUIS PHILIPPE ISABELLE of the Royal 22nd, Private EDWARD JACK HANSPIKER of the PPCLI and Sapper LEONARD ARTHUR WATSON Royal Canadian Engineers were killed on November 23rd and Private HENRI LACHANCE of the Royal 22nd and Private RAYMOND CHESTER ENOS of the PPCLI were killed on November 25th.
