Barrie, Ontario

Son of Daniel Emmett McVeigh and Ann Averina Skelton of Barrie, Simcoe, Ontario.

On 9 December 1944, he was in the ship's sick bay suffering from a fever. Taken to hospital in Colombo, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) on the 12th, he died of smallpox at 8:40 pm on 14 January 1945 where he was buried.
