  • Grave Marker– Grave of Lieutenant Colonel Alfred Blake Carey who served with the 54th Battn. Machine Gun Corps C.E.F. He was born in Blenkein Ontario on June 3rd 1881. Husband of Alice B. Carey, Alfred enlisted into the C.E.F. with the 67th Battn. at Victoria BC on Sept. 1st 1915, he listed prior military service of 6 months with the Remington Guards in South Arfica. He listed his occupation as "Civil Engneer" Lt. Col. Carey died at Vancouver BC on March 29th 1922 at the age of 40. He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
