  • Personal sketch of fallen comrade
  • Photo of Robert Alan Smith– Rob named this picture 'my friend'
  • Plaque– This was the laser engraved granite plaque that we re-designed to mark the unfortunate passing of Sgt. Short.

The original plaque on the Kandahar Cenotaph contained both Sgt Short and Cpl Beerenfenger - but when the monument was repatriated to Canada in 2014, it was decided to give each member their own unique plaque.

Today, it can be seen at the Afghanistan Memorial located at National Defence Headquarters in Kanata, On.
