Diotte applied to the RCMP. She served at Hinton and Banff detachments in Alberta. She was active in her community teaching the Drug Abuse Resistance Education to grade 6 students and worked diligently with Victim's Services. She, along with her spouse Mario (also a member of the RCMP), ran an annual golf tournament to raise funds for the Victims' Rights Organization. Cst. Diotte enjoyed skiing and hiking with her spouse. The quote on Cst. Diotte's RCMP card that gets handed out to people said: "Believe in yourself and you can do anything". Cst.
