Cst. Doucet served in the Canadian Armed Forces prior to joining the Force. He was posted to Jacquet River Detachment in Moncton, New Brunswick and then, in 1978, he transferred to the Moncton Drug Section. Cst. Doucet was in an airplane conducting air surveillance for a drug bust. After the arrests were made on the ground, the airplane seemed to be having difficulty. The plane made two circles and came in low. It clipped the top of the tree tops and nose-dived into the ground. Cst. Doucet is buried in the St. Michel Cemetery at Trois Rivières, Quebec. He was single.
