Baptized Joseph-Alfred-Amédée. Son of Amédée Sauvé and Marie-Jeanne Tremblay, of Montreal, Quebec. He attested that he was born in 1896 when he enlisted.
He suffered multiple shrapnel wounds from the previous day in Mercatel and died of his wounds at Stationary Hospital No.3 in Doullens, France.
