This is Wigston Magna War Memorial, Leicestershire. Hector McDonald Bennent's name is commemorated on the right hand panel, 14th name from the bottom. He was born in Wigston. His parents, William & Lucy Hannah Bennett, had taken their family to Canada before the War and settled in Toronto. He enlisted on 6th Sept 1916 at Toronto and worked as an apprentice electrician. His older brother, Walter Clement Bennett, also died in service with the Canadian Army in 1917

LES BARAQUES MILITARY CEMETERY Pas de Calais, France
Sangatte is a village situated in the department of the Pas-de-Calais and touches the western side of the town of Calais. The Communal Cemetery at Les Baraques lies about 5 kilometres from Sangatte village. LES BARAQUES MILITARY CEMETERY is an extension of the Communal Cemetery at its western end.
