The memorial, consisting of an inscribed granite base and a life-sized bronze figure of General Sir Arthur Currie, was sculpted by artist Adrienne Alison. The Sir Arthur Currie Memorial Project unveiled the life-size bronze statue of the famous First World War General on August 4, 2014. The event included a cadet parade, band performances, military re-enactor demonstrations and the participation of a number of distinguished guests, project supporters, and descendants of General Sir Arthur Currie.

Currie was born just outside of Strathroy, and became the first Canadian commander of the Canadian Corps in the First World War. The project was paid for entirely through fund-raising efforts through private donations, corporate sponsorships, numerous community organizations, Veterans Affairs Canada and the Army Cadet League of Canada.

A travelling exhibit highlighting the extraordinary life and military career of  Sir Arthur Currie is on display at Museum Strathroy-Caradoc. The exhibit considers the influence of his youth on his remarkable rise through the ranks from a militia gunner before the First World War to becoming the first Canadian commander of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Highlights of the display include a battlefield model demonstrating Currie’s use of the creeping barrage tactic, a restored German machine gun captured at the Battle of Amiens, and items related to a soldier’s experience in the trenches on the front line. There are also numerous artifacts and photographs that trace the humble roots of Canada’s greatest military commander.

The War Memorial in Coronation Park was erected in 1928. The monument is made of granite, with a bronze sword in memory of Veterans killed in the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War. Relatives of the deceased were given the opportunity to choose the site.

It was unveiled during the "Old Boys" celebrations of 1928. Father L.P. Lowry, former Chaplain of the Canadian Mounted Rifles, gave the opening address. Reverend E.S. McKegney gave the opening prayer and Col. F.A. Lister, D.S.O.A.A.Q.M.G.M.D., performed the unveiling followed by the "LAST POST". The Middlesex Light Infantry led a parade to the local cemetery where several thousands paid tribute to their heroes.

The local Horticultural Society planted trees around the base. The municipality gathers around the memorial every Armistice Day and pays tribute to these fallen heroes, led by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #341, Parkhill.

This old gun in Grand Bend was one of over 3,000 German weapons captured during the First World War and brought to Canada as war memorials. Most have rusted away and have been removed but this one, which arrived in Grand Bend in November 1920, has been well looked after. Source: "By Little Towns" by Robert Shipley.

The figure of a soldier by the Community Hall in Forest is sculpted from Italian marble. It is one of many in Canada that were crafted in Europe. The fine stone is much prized for sculpture and comes from the same area as the marble that Michelangelo worked. Source: "By Little Towns" booklet by Robert Shipley

The Caradoc Honour Roll is dedicated to the men and women of Caradoc Township who fought in the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War.

In early 1919, a special meeting of the township of Caradoc was called to discuss erecting a cenotaph to honour those who died in the First World War. A committee was appointed and it was recommended that a marble tablet be placed in the Mount Brydges town hall inscribed with the names of all the men and women who had served. The Honour Roll was moved to the Caradoc Community Centre for the official opening on January 19, 1991.
