Description
Ms. Fong shares the story of how her career was cut short but she did not let the traumatic events control her life.
Naomi Fong
Ms. Naomi Fong was born April 30, 1986 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. In 2007 Ms. Fong joined with the Artillery Reserves, however, due to some unacceptable circumstances of sexual trauma she made the choice to leave the unit in 2016. Finding personal worth and respect for oneself, Ms. Fong used her negative experiences to make positive changes in her life and with this was chosen as part of Team Canada Invictus Game Team 2018. Naomi chose cycling as her competitive sport and was the first Canadian to receive a medal during the games in Sydney, Australia. Ms. Fong received the bronze medal in cycling, an achievement she is very proud of! Ms. Fong now resides in Pembrooke, Ontario.
