My name is Angus Stanfield and I represent Cockrell House.
There’s a pride that goes with having worn a uniform, and there’s the bond of belonging to that real tight-knit family.
When you’re in the military, if you’re hungry you go to the mess and, etcetera, and there’s rules and a structure, there’s an order…
So they get out and, especially if they’ve been medically released... You know, they didn’t leave under their own terms.
They maybe didn’t want to leave but they were injured enough that they had to.
They’re not really in a good spot to deal with bureaucracy
and it’s a big leg up for them to just to all of a sudden realize they’re not alone.
