Veterans Affairs Canada invites you to visit our new temporary exhibit at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial. The display celebrates the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris, France, this summer and the Invictus Games in British Columbia, Canada, in February 2025. This free exhibit is on display until the end of September 2024.
Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s Play Hard, Fight Hard: Sport and the Canadian Military travelling exhibit forms part of the display. It showcases 14 sports Canadians played while serving in uniform and provides insight into the origins of the Paralympic Games and the Invictus Games. To learn more about Canadian Veteran athletes, explore the Play Hard, Fight Hard homepage and follow Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame’s social media accounts this summer.
The exhibit also includes photo banners featuring Canadian Invictus Games athletes and information about the upcoming Winter Invictus Games in Whistler and Vancouver in February 2025. The Invictus Games are an international sporting event for wounded, injured and ill Veterans and members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery and support rehabilitation. It also generates a wider understanding and respect for all those who serve their country.
