Bruce J. McColl, 37309, was born in Parkhill, Ontario on September 24, 1896. He signed his military attestation on September 23rd, 1914 and trained with the 1st Contingent Canadian Expeditionary Force at Valcartier Camp, Quebec. He was a student prior to enlisting. He served with the 15th Battalion, C.E.F. His death was recorded as April 29th, 1915, during the 2nd battle of Ypres. John Duncan McColl, 27086, was born in Parkhill, Ontario on April 26, 1886. He signed his military attestation on September 18th, 1914 and trained with the 1st Contingent Canadian Expeditionary Force at Valcartier Camp, Quebec. He worked as a Commercial Traveller. He indicated on his attestation that he had 5 years experience with the 7th Regiment Fusiliers in London, Ontario. He served with the 15th Battalion, C.E.F. His death was recorded as April 24th, 1915, during the 2nd battle of Ypres. Both brothers do not have marked graves and are rememberered on the Menin Gate (Ypres) memorial in Belgium. -
