  • Grave marker– HE GAVE HIS LIFE THAT CANADA MIGHT LIVE” Respectfully submitted by LC.
  • Memorial– Honour Roll bearing the name of Vincent Colling.  Like so many others of his time, Vincent took up arms to fight the dark tide of evil that had descended on the world.  Let not his sacrifice be in vain.  Remember him.  
This memorial is dedicated to the members of Immaculate Conception Church who fought in the Second World War. The Church of the Immaculate Conception was located in Port Robinson, Ontario.  The church was closed in 1998 and years later torn down.  The Honour Roll is currently in the archives of the absorbing parish, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, Thorold, Ontario.
  • Yearbook– Cover of the 1942 edition of Welland High and Vocational School year book, STUDENT which lists Vincent’s name in the Honour Roll.  Welland High on Division Street in Welland, ON was his alma mater.  Forever in our hearts Vincent - LC

  • Memorial– Poem by L. Falle submitted in honour of Vincent who passed while attending RCAF No. 1 Technical Training School, St. Thomas, ON.  LC
  • Roll of Honour– Roll, Muster with all the names of Welland High and Vocational School students who served in WWII and who they served with. Each student who passed away during the war would be marked with a little red X.  This book is kept at the Welland Museum located at 140 King Street, Welland, ON.  LC
  • Memorial– Vincent’s name is inscribed on The RCAF WWII Memorial Wall: “They Grew Not Old” located in Brandon, Manitoba.
  • War Memorial– The Welland Crowland War Memorial is the last large WWI memorial to be erected in Canada.  It is located in Chippawa Park on Fitch Street in Welland, ON.  Vincent’s name is inscribed on this monument.  Gone are your parents and step-siblings who could have provided insight as to who you were.  You will live forever in my heart.  LC
