The original pictures were supplied by the Sydney Post-Record and the booklet was compiled by Jack Wilcox, class of 1946 and Donald Trivett, class of 1947. Additional Information courtesy of Floyd Williston: F/Sgt. Albert Alexander Williston, age 26, was killed on January 21, 1944, when 514 Squadron Lancaster LL672, in which he was tail gunner, was shot down near Magdeburg, Germany, by Major Prinz Heinrich zu Sayn Wittgenstein. Major Wittgenstein's Ju 88 was also shot down. Post-war, Wittgenstein was re-buried in the German Military Cemetery in Northern Holland, and F/Sgt. Williston was re-buried in the Berlin War Cemetery. References to Albert Williston may be found in the biographical work: Laurels for Prinz Wittgenstein, published in England in 1994, and, in an earlier book: Bombers Over Berlin. A major chapter in the book: Through Footless Halls of Air, by Floyd Williston, is devoted to the life, and final flights of F/Sgt. Albert Williston, and his younger brother, F/Sgt. David Williston.
