Baptized Joseph Arthur Perrot, on 22 July 1914 in St-Majorique, Gaspé, Québec. Son of Théophile Perreault and Eliza Fournier, of Fontenelle, Québec. His brother, Isidore Perreault, service number E-19896, Royal Rifles of Canada, was prisoner of war in Hong Kong and in Japan; he survived the war.

He served in Québec, in Newfoundland with Force W, in Hong Kong with Force C and was prisoner of war in Japan. He had 1,356 days of service, including 896 overseas.

Location:

YOKOHAMA WAR CEMETERY is 9 kilometres west of the city on Yuenchi-Dori, Hodogaya Ward, which branches left off the old Tokkaido highway. The nearest railway station is Hodogaya, 5 kilometres to the north on the JNR line but the cemetery is easily reached by bus from Yokohama station.
