Location:

Sauchy-Lestree is a village in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais and a little north of the road from Arras to Cambrai. CHAPEL CORNER CEMETERY, SAUCHY-LESTREE is about 0.75 kilometres south-east of the village, at a fork of the road to Epinoy.

Microform Sequence 22; Volume Number 31829_B016731. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 166.  Page 641 of 818. Private Joseph Cooper was originally buried in Epinoy Road British Cemetery. Following the Armistice, his body, and those of the other 31 soldiers buried there, were exhumed and re-interred in Chapel Corner Cemetery.
