Baptized Louis-Ignace-Alfred Desjardins. Son of Malvina Leclerc (deceased 1900) and Jean-Baptiste Desjardins (remarried to Mathilde Morel in 1905, he died in 1919).
Alfred was severely wounded in Chérisy on 28 August 1918 and he was evacuated to England on the following days. He was hospitalized there until he was repatriated on 18 August 1919 and disabled, he was admitted to the Veteran’s hospital at Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue. He was released from military service as unfit for service on 3 March 1920, and he died six month later of empyema due to his wounds.
